About the Role

Import and Export Coordination: Facilitate the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international borders, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade agreements.

Supply Chain Management: Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

Vendor and Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors globally to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.

Logistics Planning: Plan and execute logistics operations, including the selection of shipping methods, routes, and carriers, while optimizing cost and efficiency.

Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with import/export laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements specific to North America, the Middle East, and the Far East.

Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, including stock levels, storage, and tracking to minimize carrying costs and ensure product availability.

Cost Control: Implement cost-effective logistics solutions, negotiate contracts, and monitor expenses to achieve budgetary objectives.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate logistics-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions and security concerns.

Documentation: Prepare and manage shipping and trade-related documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and improve logistics efficiency and accuracy.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and finance, to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations, tariffs, and sanctions to maintain compliance.

Market Research: Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging market opportunities and challenges in North America, the Middle East, and the Far East.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in logistics and international trade, with a minimum of 10 years in a similar role.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.

  • Familiarity with logistics software and tools, including ERP systems, TMS, and WMS.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing global supplier and client relationships.

  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, trade agreements, and regulatory requirements.

  • Multilingual abilities may be preferred.

  • Project management skills for overseeing logistics projects.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
